Construction has begun on Midtown Heights, Hubbell Realty Company's latest brownstone community in the Des Moines area. The homes will be located at MLK Jr. Parkway and High Street, and will be similar to Hubbell’s brownstone communities located in Waukee, Johnston, and Norwalk. Until now, the space located south of the new Freedom Financial Bank branch, has been undeveloped. The brownstones are scheduled to be ready in late spring 2008 with a model sometime in the early spring.

All 17 of the three-level brownstones will feature 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, a 2-car attached garage, and range from 1,135-1,203 square feet. Kitchens will be equipped with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. Prices will range between $177,900 and $189,900. With easy access to Interstate 235, these homes will not only be attractive to downtown workers, but also people working in the suburbs who desire a more urban lifestyle.
